Prairie Dogging

I gotta quit prairie dogging at work in my cubicle. Every time someone walks in or out of one of the doors on either side of the room I sit in, I pop my head up to see who it is. I don't even care who it is more than it is just something I let distract me. The problem is, when you prairie dog, they instinctively look at you. Once you make eye contact, you are then committed to smiling or saying hi, or even just a nod. However, from their vantage point, I'm not sure if they can see my lower face from over the cubicle wall. I might be smiling but to them all they see is silent, staring eyes watching them. It can be awkward. If only these were the least of my problems.
